Autism Support Center

Students with autistic spectrum disorders are found in all forms of education. When you have such a disorder, you process information differently. In order to properly tailor education to these students, it is necessary for teachers and other stakeholders to have a good understanding of how to interact with these students. The Autism Support Center provides assistance in identifying students’ educational and support needs and translating them into actionable recommendations.

The Autism Support Center offers the following facilities:

  • Telephone consultation hours;
  • One-time consultations;
  • Networking in the region: being aware of the social map in the field of education and providing care for people with autistic spectrum disorder.

In addition to the above activities, it is also possible as a school itself to engage the support center for (team) trainings, workshops and guidance programs. The Autism Support Center does not investigate or diagnose. It also does not offer outpatient counseling to students with autism.

Telephone consultation hours for the Haaglanden region on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The support point has its own website.
